The spy stage prints correct French accent but a customer stage using document.Get("attributesName") has issue to get French accent. I did add # -*- coding: latin-1 -*-. This doesn't help.

does anyone has spy.py source file? I am trying to see how spy.py works well with French accent.

Could you include an example of your field, how it looks in spy.txt and how it looks when your custom docproc outputs it? And perhaps enclose cruical parts of your code as well. Much easier than asking for proprietary code from FAST :)
